I received a Facebook message from a man in Ohio this week. He spotted an advertisement we were running to attract Christian business leaders to consider advertising with us. Not sure why the ad was running in Ohio, but here’s what he shared:

“Since I can’t block sponsored trash such as yours, here is my message to you: Your god and religion, as is all religion, is an atrocity in my eyes. I don’t care what anyone believes, but when you put out lies as truth then THIS is what you get in reply. Maybe you can pray that your god can block your words from my FB page.”

I actually love hearing from people like him because it gives me an opportunity to express the truth about God that’s currently being distorted in his mind.

Engaging our community with the Gospel is the purpose of River Region Christians. Some of those we serve already know Jesus and are walking with Him. Others may, for the moment, be disconnected from believers yet still seeking Christ. Finally, many whom we serve are looking to learn more about the Lord. Some for the first time.

That Facebook message we received is a reminder that people need the grace, love and hope that God offers through Jesus the Christ and our calling to spread that good news.

As the Apostle Paul states in 2 Corinthians Ch. 5, “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

We’re an advertiser-supported ministry. If you’re a business, church, or organization we would love for you to advertise and help us share the Gospel while also promoting your work.

If you’re someone simply enjoying River Region Christians, please send a text with our link to a neighbor, co-worker, or friend who needs to know God loves them more than they could ever imagine through Jesus the Christ.
