I recently have had some health battles that have made me cherish the things that matter the most. So many of you have been through the same or know others who have. Those moments grab you and make you consider the deposits you’ve made in others that will hopefully have a lasting impact. As a father, my children are the ones I consider most. Our impact on our children is one of our highest callings.

That’s why it brings me immense joy to present to you our latest issue, centered around the theme of “ministering to children.”

Children are the future of our faith, and it is our responsibility as parents, teachers, and church community members to guide them in their journey toward Christ. In this issue, we have compiled a variety of resources to help you minister to the children in your life in meaningful and impactful ways.

As Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” We must ensure that we pass on the love of Christ to the next generation.

How are you doing that?

Look inside this month’s issue to see how others are going about ministering to children and see what you can apply in your own home, neighborhood, or church.

One of the easiest ways is to get involved in your church’s Vacation Bible School as a volunteer or take your children to your church or a nearby church’s VBS. These ministries are designed for kids to have fun, make friends, and, most importantly, lay a Gospel foundation in a child’s life so they can know how much God loves them and the sacrifice Christ made to bring them into God’s family.

What lasting deposits are you making in the children in your life? Unfortunately, we’re all so busy and distracted that the most important things are often ignored or simply forgotten. I pray this issue refocuses your attention so that when you’re gone, others will be in a better place because of the Gospel investment you made in their lives.
